Job Title:       Event Coordinator

Department: Cab Operations

Reports To:   Assistant Operations Manager


The primary responsibility of the Event Coordinator is to provide up to date information to drivers regarding the current status of taxicab demands in town. This information includes current customer needs around the city such as at hotels, the convention center, airport, or at scheduled special events. The Event Coordinator will be posted in these areas to monitor activity, but may be required to move from area to area when needed and will communicate on taxicab demand via radio, phone or in person. This will all be conducted in a timely and professional manner at all times.



• Adhere to all company policies and procedures
• Follow all laws, regulations, and company policies regarding this state regulated industry
• Treat drivers in a courteous, friendly and professional manner
• Communicate all business demand and traffic information that would benefit the company via radio, phone, email or face to face 

• Operate company equipment in a responsible, professional and safe manner
• Work together with co-workers to achieve the overall customer service goals of the department and assist company drivers when needed

• Be a role model and ambassador to the company
• Always practice safe work ethics and procedures
• Accurately complete any required paperwork
• Assumes related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management


• Customer service experience
• Confident, outgoing and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
• The ability to communicate clearly with others
• Professionalism in a team setting
• Problem-solving abilities
• Basic math, writing and computer skills
• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Must be able to operate small and mid-size vehicles
• Knowledge of major roads and highways in Southern Nevada
• Knowledge of all major Las Vegas area hotels and event venues
• Knowledge of McCarran Airport as it relates to curbside cab operations
• Punctuality and consistent work attendance
• Must be able to perform all duties regardless of weather conditions
• Ability to stay composed and professional in a fast paced environment
• Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
• Must possess high level of customer service skills
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test
• Must maintain a neat, professional, and well-groomed appearance
• Must work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Must take direction from manager and work within a team concept
• Must follow all Frias Transportation Management work rules, policies, and regulations
• Must make oneself available for continued education and training and attend regularly scheduled training and meetings



Physical Requirements:


• Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time greater than two hours at a time

• Must be able to lift a minimum of 25lbs.
• Must have visual acuity to type, read reports, enter and produce data; reports; written statement, etc.

• Be able to squat for a short period of time, less than ten minutes
• Must be able to hear and speak clearly for radio and telephone communications
