Accounting Manager-Transactions

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for preparing and/or reviewing journal entries and reconciliations on a regular basis. The Accounting Manager is also responsible for overseeing the Revenue and Accounts Receivable process, assisting the Controller as needed.


  • Manage a team of 4 to 5 people – Daily Revenue Audit and AR Specialist
  • Review AR aging regularly to ensure timely cash collections
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the fixed asset sub ledger, including the entry of additions and disposals, posting of monthly depreciation, monthly reconciliation to the general ledger, and an annual physical inventory
  • Maintains CapEx schedules and assists in budgeting and planning
  • Regularly updates positive pay files with banking institutions
  • Coordinates reimbursements from state agencies with outside consultants
  • Develops and maintains accounting internal controls by establishing best practices and refining Standard Operating Procedures to meet both the requirements of the AICPA and operational goals of Frias Transportation Management
  • Prepares the Business tax filings monthly, quarterly, and annually such as, Commerce Tax, Business Personal Property Tax, Unclaimed Property Remittance, Taxicab Authority Annual Report, and the Nevada Transportation Authority Annual Report under the direction of the Controller
  • Communicates with outside tax and accounting personnel
  • Other projects and ad-hoc reporting as needed


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance required
  • CPA preferred
  • 5+ years of Accounting/Finance experience
  • Experience with BNA Fixed Assets Web preferred
  • Management experience preferred


Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time greater than two hours at a time
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 25lbs.
  • Must have visual acuity to type, read reports, enter and produce data: reports; written statements, etc.
  • Must be able to squat for a short period of time, less than ten minutes
  • Must be able to hear and speak clearly for radio and telephone communications
