  • Overview

    As a core member of the Frias team, Frias Taxi Operators are the primary point of interaction between our company and the guests of Las Vegas. You will be tasked with practicing the Frias Principles of Customer Service to deliver outstanding experiences to our guests on each and every ride. Additionally, drivers are expected to follow all operational and vehicular safety procedures to ensure the safe transport of the guest, themselves, and other motor vehicle operators. Candidates considering this role should be energetic, hard-working, independently motivated, and able to adapt to a variety of circumstances.

    Responsibilities

    • Be ready and able to accept all taxi trips from cab stands, radio, digital dispatch, or any other platform
    • Understand and meet daily trip and shift goals as set by the Operations team
    • Serve as a knowledgeable brand ambassador to your customers on the city of Las Vegas
    • Adhere to and deliver the Frias Principles of Customer Service on every ride, ensuring an outstanding customer experience
    • Assist customers with luggage and other items as needed
    • Accurately and legibly track daily trips and revenue, cash totals, and meter readings
    • Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance in accordance with the Frias Dress Code Policy
    • Treat your vehicle as your place of business; ensure your cab is neat, clean, and well kept
    • Operate a motor vehicle safely, and in accordance with all state and local laws
    • Adhere to all rules and regulations of the Nevada Taxicab Authority
    • Follow all Frias policies, procedures, protocols, and other rules and regulations
    • Perform other job related duties as needed

     

    Qualifications

    • Minimum age requirement of 21
    • Must have a valid Nevada driver’s license, and have held that license for a minimum of 30 days. A minimum of two years driving experience is also required
    • Customer service experience a plus
    • In-depth knowledge of the Las Vegas metropolitan area to include, but not limited to: directions, streets and hotel locations
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Ability to operate in-vehicle electronics to include credit card machine, meter, and radio
    • Ability to make decisions and resolve conflict in a professional manner
    • Must be able to obtain a Taxicab Authority card (in accordance with NRS – Charter 484)
    • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test

    Work Environment                                            

    The majority of the employee’s work will occur in and around a motor vehicle. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to the following:

    • Fumes or airborne particles
    • Extreme weather conditions
    • Extended periods of sitting
    • Moving/Working mechanical parts or vibrations
    • Excessive noise levels
    • Frequent interactions with passengers and other employees

     Physical Demands

    • Must be able to sit, stand, squat and focus for extended periods of time
    • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds multiple times during the workday
    • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle safely for extended periods of time, in potentially adverse or extreme conditions

             During the interview:

                 DMV Printout: $8.00

                 Metroscope:    $10.00

            

             Once the interviews are completed:

                 DOT physical:                  $ varies

         Pre employment drug test   $ 31.00

                       Application:               $ 40.00

                       Fingerprint:                $ 51.25
